Harry Slabotsky was born in 1885 and graduated from Louisiana State University in the Spring of 1906 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. His 1906 thesis is titled, THE UNITED STATES SYSTEM OF LAYING OUT THE PUBLIC LANDS. He worked for railroads in Texas and Louisiana and apparently later moved on to work in the hydroelectric industry.
